Cognitive Behavior Therapy

A Vision of Self offers Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). The basic premise of this therapy is that behavior (how we act), cognition (how we think), and emotion (how we feel), are all interrelated. Essentially, CBT is provided on the principle that an individual’s thoughts determine his or her behavior and feelings. With our CBT service, we aim to help you identify and modify negative behaviors, emotions, and thoughts that can lead you to destructive behaviors. Once these negative thoughts have been identified, we teach you to challenge these distorted cognitions and from there, we can help you develop alternative ways of behaving and thinking. Through this, we aim to help reduce your psychological concerns and distress.
